A PawSox Welcome Home Rally!
Hello PawSox Fans!
As you can well imagine it has been an incredible time with the PawSox winning the International League Governor’s Cup Championship! There will be much more of that to come; however today at noontime was the PawSox Championship rally at PawtucketCity Hall.
Although the PawSox were beat in the National Championship game on Wednesday by the Reno Aces in that one game for the title, the more important title was the Governor’s Cup.
Just before noon the players arrived via bus.
A good crowd was on hand and cheered the team as they headed up on the dais.
Great PawSox Fan Kelly “K” was on hand to enjoy the festivities, as always with a smile! (Everyone calls her “K” because she puts the K cards on the rail for every PawSox pitcher strikeout)
PawSox player Jason Repko had his great looking family on hand.
The Mayor of Pawtucket announced the unveiling of an awesome PawSox Championship logo that was painted on the street.
Team President Mike Tamburro spoke to the crowd and thanked them for being fans. Mike thanked the players for being a great team and bringing the Cup to Rhode Island. Mike explained that 69 different players wore a PawSox uniform during the 2012 season one shy of the record. (There were 70 players during 2 other season)
Manager Arnie Beyeler thanked all the fans for the support, and also hinted of his “Love” for speaking.
Before leaving, the players took time to pose for photos around the new painted logo.
It was a PAWSOME time! Be sure to keep checking for much more to come about the road to the Cup! As the 2012 ends, we all now prepare for the 2013 season. Soon we will be releasing the PawSox 2013 schedule. Season tickets and flex tickets will be available to see the Championship Pawtucket Red Sox……they are all……..”Here For You!”
Love hearing from you!
Yours in Baseball,
