Santa Paws and Santa Claus

    Hello PawSox Fans!

Hope your Christmas Holiday was filled with many great yucks, great food and great family and friends!

Santa Paws joined forces with Santa Claus on Christmas Eve to deliver toys to kids in several cities and towns. Spending Christmas Eve with the two was nothing short of magnificent!

Using the PawsMobile Sleigh, the two were transported from house to house to meet and greet the youngsters who really enjoyed it.

CLAUS AND PAWS.jpg
Santa Paws and Santa Claus got to meet a young PawSox fan and family. The little guys name was Jacoby! Of course named after former PawSox and now Boston Red Sox player Jacoby Ellsbury.

At each home Paws and Claus would load up a sack and deliver the contents to the boys and girls. They were all very happy with the visit.

SANTA & KIDS.jpg
Going from home to home causes one to get a hankering for some hot chocolate. We stopped at a Dunkin’ Donuts to grab some drink. While there, a woman told Santa and Paws a story of a family with kids who had recently lost their home to fire, losing everything.

Santa and Paws sprung into action and the PawsMobile Sleigh followed the woman to the home they were staying at with other family members. Once again a sack was filled and delivered to the youngsters.

While loading the sack for the house, three young ladies and their moms came walking by. Of course Santa Paws and Santa Claus wished them a Merry Christmas and made sure they didn’t go away empty handed.

The time flew by and it was now past midnight. Since the kids were awake when Santa and Paws arrived there were no milk and cookies. What better place for Saint Nick to grab something to eat then Nick’s Hot Dogs!

We each grab “three all the way” meaning the works.

I remember coming here since I was a young boy and sitting on these same chairs. Its said the chairs came from an old school and are dated the late 1800′s.

Santa and Paws are done for the night. On Christmas day there are a few more stops. Jordan loves his Buzz Lightyear and ZuZu Pet. Mission accomplished.

This morning, Sunday the 26th, I know about the threat of a severe snow storm. Santa heads back to the North Pole and Paws heads to his igloo. I decide to head south.

I hit the storm and its getting worse.

I make it as far south as Connecticut. As luck would have it I find a great hotel. The Bellisimo Grande. They have great rates and can you believe that its about a stones throw from Foxwoods Casino? And, they have limo service to the casino! What Luck!

Its an awesome place to stay and the staff is fantastic. It has been an exciting and fun weekend and I head into the lobby.

Santa Paws!

    Hello PawSox Fans!

Yesterday morning, Saturday, December 18th, Santa Paws and I headed to Citizens For Citizens located in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Citizens For Citizens is a great agency that lends a helping hand to those in need. Today is the annual “Operation Christmas!” Families pre-register and are given Christmas gifts for the children to help make their Christmas a happy time and a little brighter.

Throughout the year they solicit gifts and monies from businesses and private donors to make it possible. Two weeks ago, they held their annual Operation Christmas Telethon at the Harbor Mall. The Telethon runs for three days with the dedicated volunteers and F.R.E.D. TV who make it all possible. (FRED TV is a group of students from Durfee High School who film, produce and edit videos. The Paws and Sox videos you see for the soft toss every game was made by the students of FRED TV.)

When we arrive, the folks are lined up down the sidewalk. The offices and building have been transformed into a giant toy store. Santa Paws meets with the folks in line. He hands out Beanie Babies to the kids in line.

Santa Paws heads into the building and meets with Barbara Travis who spearheads Operation Christmas and is a big PawSox fan. Barbara is full of energy and caring! Always with a smile and willing to help others.

Santa Paws wishes all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Everyone is looking forward to the 2011 season. If you’re looking for some terrific Christmas gifts, PawSox Flex Tickets make great gifts! Flex Tickets are truly the “Gift that keeps on Giving!”

Have you ever seen the movie Christmas Vacation? Remember when Clark is waiting for a Christmas bonus to install a pool in the back yard and instead gets a membership in the Jelly of the Month Club? The always annoying Eddie tells Clark, ”It’s the gift that keeps on giving”. That movie is always good for some yucks.

Just picture the people who you give the Flex Tickets to.They will be thanking you once again during the summer months as they sit and enjoy all the excitement of McCoy Stadium and watching the PawSox in a FAN-TASTIC family atmosphere!

If you have any questions just give the PawSox a call at 401-724-7300 or visit the website pawsox.com

Each day we move another day closer to opening day. I am hoping this winter passes as swiftly as possible to make way for the summer sun and fun.

Christmas is next week and the hustle and bustle will be over. There are some people who truly enjoy Christmas shopping while others find it very stressful.

People are fighting traffic, yelling from their vehicles, honking the horn and waving at others using just one finger! DONT stress!  Enjoy the Holidays! Laugh and have fun with family, friends and PawSox fans!

Speaking on stress, after sending Santa Paws back to his Igloo at the North Pole, I returned home wondering how I was going to get rid of an entertainment center. I had lugged the thing outside but now what? Trash pickup wasn’t done on Saturday and what would the schedule be like for pickup up next week.

What was I going to do? It was a rather clear day, chilly but clear with not much wind. We have a fire pit in our backyard for the campfires. What a great idea! After taking it apart, it burned very well!  Problem solved!  Please note the garden hose and bucket of water for safety!

Have a stress free and fun Christmas! PawSox tickets ensure you a good time. Cant wait to see you on opening day. Remember, we are……..”Here For You!”

On December 4th, last Saturday, tickets for the 2011 season went on sale during the PawSox fan Christmas Party!

The weather was windy and cold, however, that didn’t deter the PawSox faithful from waiting in line to purchase tickets for their favorite games. Fans bought their flex tickets and chose the games they wanted to attend. Some took the flex tickets and would decide at a later date when to use them. Either way they are saving some dough!

Kelly was there to take the ticket orders with her great smile!
